Their interlocking construction is an important durability feature, and each slat is precisely crafted to ensure the door travels smoothly along the curved tambour track.

Removable cutting and crumb-catching tray: This bread box features a convenient removable wooden tray that serves as both a bread-cutting surface and a crumb catcher. Its removable walnut slotted cutting insert provides a rich contrast to the maple and allows crumbs to fall through into the tray beneath, helping keep countertops cleaner while slicing bread. The insert can be lifted out to empty accumulated crumbs, and the entire tray can be easily removed from the bread box for use and cleaning.
